Whole-Home Remodeling · Thurston & Pierce County
Remodels that change the whole house, not just one room
Award-winning whole-home transformations and major additions across Olympia and Tacoma, planned to a real budget before demolition day.
Fit check, up front
Good house, great lot, wrong layout? That's our project.
The best remodel candidates in the South Sound are good homes on great lots, waterfront, view, or established neighborhoods, where the house no longer matches the life inside it. That's the work Doyle Construction does: full transformations, planned with the same discipline as our custom homes.
Whole-home remodels
The full interior rethought as one project: layout, systems, and finishes.
Second stories & major additions
Engineered expansions like our Tamoshan project's full second-story addition.
Structural transformations
Moving walls, raising roofs, reworking how the house meets its lot.
Single-room refreshes
A bathroom-only or cosmetic kitchen update deserves a specialist who does those all day. That's not us, and we'll say so.
Shown: the Westside Olympia Remodel (Judges' Choice + People's Choice, 2024 OMB Tour of Homes) and the Bayshore Remodel.
Straight answers
Whole-home remodel questions, answered plainly
What size remodel does Doyle Construction take on?
Large-scope projects: whole-home remodels, major additions, and structural work. If your project is a single-room update, we're honestly not the right fit, and we'll tell you that in the first conversation.
How much does a whole-home remodel cost in Olympia or Tacoma?
More than a refresh, less than moving, and it varies with the house. The existing structure sets the terms, so we run a full pre-construction phase first: scope, engineering, selections, and a complete budget before demolition starts.
Is your remodeling work any good?
The 2024 Olympia Master Builders Tour of Homes gave our Westside Olympia Remodel both Judges' Choice and People's Choice for Best Remodel. The photos on this page are from that project and others like it.
Can you add a second story to my house?
Often, yes, with the right engineering. Our Tamoshan project removed a garage roof and added a complete second story on a waterfront home. Structure, foundation capacity, and budget all get verified in pre-construction.
Do you work in both Thurston and Pierce County?
Yes. Olympia, Tumwater, and Lacey are home turf, and we take remodel projects across Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and wider Pierce County.
Ready to rethink the whole house?
Tell us about the home, the lot, and what it should become. You'll get a straight answer about scope, budget, and whether we're the right fit.
