Custom Home Builder · Serving the Greater South Puget Sound Area

Custom Homes, Built Better.

“Built Better” is a mindset we’ve adopted, a commitment to being better than we were yesterday, not a claim that we’re better than anyone else. It means continually raising the bar: investing in education to build healthier, higher-performing homes, refining our processes to improve the client experience, and creating an environment where our employees, subcontractors, and vendors feel respected and supported. Our commitment reaches beyond the success of any single project. We’re building a lasting reputation and a legacy defined by the quality of our work, the trust we earn, and the way we treat people.

Built in Tumwater. Building the South Sound.

A second-generation builder that never stops raising the bar.

Doyle Construction is a family-run custom home builder based in Tumwater, Washington. Daniel Doyle founded the company in 2019. His father Daimon, a former president of Built Green Washington who has been building since the late 1980s, joined in 2022.

Every project starts the same way: a real design, a real plan, and a commitment to building it better than the one before.

How it works

Turning a picture in your head into a house on your land takes real work. Here's what goes into it, and why every phase makes the next one better.

Listening First

We start by understanding your land, how you live, and what's non-negotiable for the finished home, before a single line gets drawn. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so here.

From Vision to Blueprint

Architects and engineers turn that understanding into a real, buildable plan, refined side-by-side with you until every detail is right.

Real Numbers, No Guesswork

Full specifications and transparent pricing before permits are pulled, so you know exactly what you're paying for and why, with straight answers if anything changes along the way.

Craftsmanship That Doesn't Stop at “Done”

A crew that treats every detail like it's going in their own house, because that's the only standard worth building to.

Straight Answers, Start to Finish

Honest updates from groundbreaking to keys. No surprises, no runaround.

SECOND GENERATION, ONE STANDARD

Daniel Doyle was raised on this trade, and built his own standard from it.

Daimon Doyle started building custom homes in the late 1980s and went on to serve as president of Built Green Washington. His son Daniel grew up on job sites, put in a decade in the industry, and founded Doyle Construction in 2019, carrying that training into a company of his own.

The result is a company built on decades of building science and local permitting knowledge, passed down, and now applied by a founder who answers his own phone. Every home is built around five principles: comfort, health, efficiency, durability, and affordability.

Questions we hear from South Sound homeowners

How much does a custom home cost in Thurston or Pierce County?

Most Doyle custom homes land between $750,000 and $1.5 million all-in. The number moves with site conditions, square footage, and finish level. Our pre-construction phase produces a complete budget and full specifications before you commit to building, so you decide with real numbers, not estimates.

What areas does Doyle Construction serve?

We build custom homes, large remodels, and ADUs across Thurston County (Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey, Yelm) and Pierce County (Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Puyallup), plus custom homes in Mason County (Hood Canal, Shelton, Belfair) and Lewis County (Centralia, Chehalis). Our office is in Tumwater, Washington.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

It depends on design complexity, county permitting timelines, and site work. What we can promise is that you get a real schedule during pre-construction, before we break ground, and honest updates if anything changes it.

Do you take on remodels or ADU projects?

Yes, when the scope is right. We take on whole-home remodels, major additions, and ADU or DADU builds. We're not the right fit for small repair jobs or single-room updates.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Doyle Construction, LLC is a registered Washington contractor (license DOYLECL815L7), bonded, and carries $1,000,000 in general liability coverage. Daimon Doyle is a RESNET Accredited HERS Rater and Energy Star verifier.
